Pat has been with the Kane County Roe since August of 1993 with the primary responsibility of coordinating programs for at risk students residing within Kane County. These programs include Truancy, Safe Schools, the educational program at the County Juvenile Detention Center, GED testing and home schooling. Other projects include serving on the Kane County Juvenile Drug Court and the Local Area Network. In addition Pat serves on the board of directors for the Illinois Coalition for At Risk Youth.

Pat has been in the field of education since 1973, she has taught learning disabilities, behavior disorders, gifted students as well as grade levels from kindergarten through 8th grade and been a Director of Special Education Services for a School District. She has worked with other state agencies such as DHS to provide and coordinate services for at risk youth. Pat was honored with the Crystal Star Award for Leadership in Dropout Prevention by the National Dropout Association as well as an Award of Excellence for her leadership, commitment, and dedication to dropout prevention in the state of Illinois by the Illinois State Board of Education.

She has a Master of Science degree in Education.
